Max Mace

Max Mace, founder and director of the Heritage Singers, was born in Boise, Idaho, and raised in a nearby farming community of Eagle, Idaho. At an early age, he discovered his love for music, singing with his family and in a trio with his two brothers. Through high school and college, he was involved with quartets and was an all-star softball player. Max met his wife Lucy while attending Walla Walla College. Lucy sang alto with The Heritage Singers for the first 10 years. She also wrote and produced over 200 television programs for the Heritage Singers aired on Trinity Broadcast Network. While traveling with the group, she was known as "Mom" to all the singers. Now her time is divided between managing the Heritage Singers headquarter in northern California. Her favorite job is taking care of their three grandchildren, Austin, Amber and Bella.
