COMFORT

Prayer is the refreshing break that brings me comfort and Peace of Mind!

There are so many people who are hurting, feeling alone, feeling separated from God.

As I have gotten older, the hardest thing I have experienced is a loss of someone dear to me.  Many of my dearest friends have lost loved ones.  And the only comfort I have is prayer.

It is so easy to allow the busy world around us, take over our every day life.  We forget to stop and ask God to guide our words guide our thoughts and be thankful each and every day for life itself. If I allow myself to become caught up in the activities of the day, I may find I am so busy that I forget to take time to pray.

But when I do take a moment to retreat from the outer world for a heart-and-soul connection with God, I immediately feel refreshed. I am comforted and strengthened. In prayer, I quiet my thoughts. I let my body relax and allow the comfort of God's loving presence to support me.

Prayer is my comfort, for it satisfies my yearning for a conscious awareness of God. I understand that my prayers do not cause God to act: instead, they help me realize that God's will is actively at work, bringing about
blessings for me at all times. Yes, prayer is the refreshing break that brings me comfort and peace of mind.

My challenge to you is to take the time each day and allow God to take control of your life.
Thank You  Lord God for allowing us the freedom of Prayer!
